With the advancement of technology, medical screening tools have vastly evolved throughout the years enabling easy to use and non-invasive methods to diagnose diseases, and Artificial Intelligence, AI Diabetic Retinopathy is no exception. Jerudong Park Medical Centre, JPMC took a leap forward by introducing First AI Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Services. The Launching Ceremony was held at JPMC Ophthalmology Clinic, 24th April morning.

The launching was officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health as Executive Director of JPMC. The ceremony included the demonstration of AI Diabetic Retinopathy Screening. One in three people with diabetes is diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy, making it one of the most common diabetes complications. With the innovation of AI technology, it will transform healthcare standards by improving quality of life through preventive care.
